Students from two schools in Cali had met through social networks to have a fight.
In an articulated action Between the ‘PAIS Escolar’ patrol, the Child and Adolescent Protection Group, the Community Police and the surveillance patrols, it was possible to avoid the confrontation. This event happened on May 3 and was announced on the 4th of this same month.
The Secretary of Security and Justice of Cali, Jairo García, rejected the behavior of the students and congratulated the action of the Public Force to prevent this situation from transcending and leaving people injured or much more serious consequences to regret.
“Meanwhile, the parents were subject to prosecution for behaviors that put life and integrity at risk established in article 27, numeral 1 of the National Code of Security and Citizen Coexistence referring to “quarrelling, inciting or engaging in violent confrontations that “can lead to physical attacks.”
The call to parents is to provide permanent support to children and adolescents to prevent situations like this from continuing to occur in the city, said Lieutenant Adriana Corrales., of the Childhood and Adolescence Police. “They were meeting at the exit of a school. We immediately activated it with the Community Police, Surveillance and of course, our Childhood and Adolescence patrol.”
In January of this year, students from a school in Cali, in the Nueva Floresta neighborhood, had a fight in the middle of the street. The case was recorded and spread on social networks. The Metropolitan Police confirmed what happened.
