“I have seen how they are taken prisoners,” Ocean Gao, a young woman of Asian descent, living in New York, who was yesterday on the university steps in Havana, told the press on behalf of her fellow fighters, who are camping today in the universities of the United States against the Zionist regime and in support of the Palestinian people.
“I was at that first demonstration at Yale University and saw that the police arrested more than 100 young people for demanding public condemnation of the genocide of the Palestinian people,” he tells us.
Ocean visits Cuba with the group Hands off Cuba, with whom he participated in the celebrations for International Workers’ Day, along with 50 other young Americans.
They have all witnessed the brutal repression of the police in their country to evict them from university campuses during demands for an end to connections with budgets from Israel and investments from companies that support the war.
The students do not want to see more deaths and injuries, nor the destruction of educational centers and universities in Gaza.
