The second day for young cooperative members was launched

The provincial government plans actions to promote sustainable production through training sessions in associative work for young people.

On Friday morning, the launch of the second day of Cooperatives for young people was held at Government House. The activity, organized by the provincial government, through the Ministries of Agriculture and Production, Cooperative Action and Education, seeks to promote cooperative education in missionary agrotechnical schools and, in turn, promote sustainable production in the province .

In this sense, the head of the agricultural portfolio, Facundo López Sartori, stated that “this second meeting seeks to motivate young people and continue generating a future for them and their families, especially with regard to sustainable production to continue taking care of the health of producers”.

For her part, the Minister of Cooperative Action, Liliana Rodríguez, stressed that “we must have continuity in the actions we started, being with young people, listening to them, learning and taking their projects to translate them into government management.” In addition, she maintained that “it is of fundamental importance to provide them with all the tools of the provincial State to be able to accompany their development.”

The first event will be held in the town of Leandro N. Alem on May 15 and the second will be held in Puerto Rico on June 12. Both are intended for students participating in agro-productive school cooperatives that are part of the School Cooperative Program, dependent on the Undersecretariat of Education. The main objective of the meeting is to understand the concept of sustainability and its importance in production so that they can apply principles of sustainability in small productions and cooperative values ​​to work in an associative manner.

It should be noted that associative work is a solidarity model that strengthens ties in the community and also generates employment. In this framework, the event outline proposes three training workshops: school cooperatives led by the province’s Undersecretariat of Education, which seeks to encourage joint work; the sustainable production workshop run by the Agro and the Environmental Education Center; a workshop for teachers in apprenticeships and, in turn, provincial experiences of sustainable development in beekeeping and fish farming, promotion of organic foods, renewable energies by the Ministry of Energy of the province, among others.

The launch was accompanied by Mariano Diaz, provincial reference for School Cooperatives of the Ministry of Education; Mario Vialey, president of the Forestry, Agricultural and Cooperative Development Commission of the Chamber of Deputies; the Undersecretary of Planning, Leonardo Amarilla; the Undersecretary of Tobacco, Carlos Pereira and Alex Schuster, youth representative of the Ministry of Agriculture.
