On Friday night, the game that several people were playing inside a pool hall, located on 16th Avenue and 22nd Street, in the Alfonso López neighborhood, stopped after the detonations of several shots that were directed at Jesús Andrés Carreño Sarmiento.

At 9:20 at night, two men, dressed in white, on a motorcycle Suzuki GN, black, they arrived at the establishment, where the 33-year-old victim was, accompanied by a woman.

When the driver parked, the grill man got out and entered the premises and after seeing that Jesús Carreño was at the door of the place, he took out a gun and shot him twice.

After committing the bloody act, he ran and got back on the motorcycle, on which he fled with his accomplice, according to the community, in the direction of the rainwater canal.

“I was at the door, when I heard a shot, in fear I closed the door, after a while there were two more (shots) and then two men, in white shirts, left on a motorcycle, heading towards the canal,” said one inhabitant of the sector.

The residents of the billiards preferred to lock themselves in. Only when they heard the police patrols did they look out, seeing the man’s body lying on the platform.

According to versions, Jesús Andrés frequented that pool hall every Friday with a woman, who was accompanying him precisely on the day of the homicide.

“When the woman saw that he had been left there, she approached him, but then some relatives arrived and took her away,” said another resident of the neighborhood.

Minutes later, the Interinstitutional Homicide Brigade (Brinho) He arrived at the scene to carry out the technical inspection and remove the body.

One of the hypotheses that the authorities are using is that this bloody incident could be a settling of scores.

He was out of jail

According to the authorities, Jesús Carreño has been out of prison for four months. In 2021 he was captured for extortion and a judge sent him to prison.

But after serving two years behind bars, he was released in November of last year.

Apparently, his judicial record was extensive, according to the Police, because he had a criminal record for extortion, personal injury, theft, possession of firearms and drug trafficking.
