The National Police, in carrying out control activities on traffic routes, to and from the municipality of Neiva, managed to capture a man and seize a significant amount of narcotic substance.
In this way, units of the Huila Transit and Transportation Section, achieved the capture of a man on the road axis that leads from the municipality of Neiva to Aipe, specifically in the Guacirco sector, who, through the modality of concealment in double tent, from a truck-type vehicle, transported more than 720 kilos of marijuana.
This substance, valued in the illegal market at approximately 720 million pesos, would be destined for the country’s capital and surrounding municipalities.
Colonel Alexander Castillo Marín, commander of the Neiva Metropolitan Police, indicates, “…with this seizure, we directly affect the criminal finances of these organizations dedicated to narcotics trafficking, which directly affect the health of Colombians and especially our children and adolescents.”
The Neiva Metropolitan Police will continue to carry out these types of plans, with the purpose of continuing to ensure the safety of the people of Huila, especially at this time when the festivals of San Juan and San Pedro are approaching.
