The Mayor’s Office of Bogotá, in collaboration with the Aqueduct and Sewer Company, has announced changes in the water service rate starting with the June bill. From then on, a charge will be made for the additional cubic meter of water consumed if the home exceeds the limit of 22 m3. These will be the rates:

  • In Bogotá, each cubic meter of water that exceeds 22 m3 per month will cost $3,380.84.
  • In Soacha, the charge per additional cubic meter will be $3,105.39.
  • In Gachancipá, the value will be $2,384.24.
  • In Tocancipá and Zipaquirá, the charge per additional cubic meter will be $2,082.39.

The measure, implemented by the Bogotá Aqueduct and Sewer Company (EAAB), excludes certain groups, such as tenants, non-profit entities with special service, and users of common areas of residential properties under the horizontal property regime.
