The Planning Secretariat of Boyacá convened more than 500 actors or leaders so that, in four days of work, they could identify their contributions to territorial development and articulate actions.

Giovanna Lobatón, director of Territorial Monitoring and Planning in Departmental Planning, reported that the Network of Actors ‘Weaving Science, Technology Innovation’ is a strategy that seeks to articulate the actors of the quadruple helix (society, business, State and academia) around to compliance with the Public Policy of Science, Technology and Innovation (CTeI) of Boyacá and thus decentralize the role of the Departmental Council of CTeI or Codecti to permeate the 123 municipalities.

This set of entities and people are part of a mapping carried out by the Regional Management Center for Productivity and Innovation (Crepib), which is responsible for joining efforts in favor of regional competitiveness.

“We want the territory to be more competitive and have a bank of projects that can be submitted to national and international calls and result in the CTeI process, productive transformation, food security and sustainable development,” said the departmental government official.

Thanks to this prior mapping, done by Crepib, five environments or classifications of these actors were defined, which gave way to the four categories that will guide the work tables, programmed as follows:

Tuesday 7 of May

8:00 am

Research table

2:00 p.m.

Innovation table

Wednesday, May 8

8:00 am

Social appropriation of knowledge table

2:00 p.m.

Resource management table

All the sessions will be held in the Ezequiel Rojas Auditorium of the Boyacá Governorate and will allow the participation of other actors interested in being part of the network.

“The main purpose of this initiative is to consolidate Boyacá as a regional ecosystem of Science, Technology and Innovation,” reported from the Boyacá governorate.
