Finally, the UTA confirmed that there will be no public transport service for passengers throughout Thursday. The measure of force is due to the general strike called by the CGT, against the policies of the national government of Javier Milei.
In this framework, through a statement issued by the National Board of Directors of the Automotive Tram Union, they reported that “as a consequence of the national government’s measures taken directly against the working people and openly aimed at violating basic individual rights, the UTA “it adds to the demand of the entire society.”
In that sense, they added that they adhere to the force measure called by the CGT and it will be from midnight on Thursday, throughout the day.
“We ask the authorities who have in their hands the decisions that are affecting the lives of the vast majority of the people, to reflect and understand the scope of the mandate that was granted to the Executive and Legislative powers and that based on this and compliance of the National Constitution, act accordingly, in defense of the interests and well-being of all Argentines,” they concluded in the statement.
It should be noted that the head of the UTA San Juan, Héctor Maldonado, informed this medium that they were waiting for confirmation at the national level of what the union Commission decided. Therefore, they will make the same decision in the province.
