The Regional Government of Los Ríos allocated $2,181 million, with approval from the Regional Council, which will support the implementation of the Communal Disaster Risk Reduction Plans for the 12 communes in the region.

In this regard, the regional governor, Luis Cuvertino, emphasized that there was work with each of the municipalities in the region to carry out a survey of the needs that would allow them to have the necessary elements so that the emergency plans could meet the objectives.
“To achieve this, we are supporting through an emergency resource within the framework of 3% of the budget and we are precisely targeting that 3% in the financing of these plans that will benefit both the 12 communes and Senapred, Firefighters and Conaf itself. ”said the governor.

Regarding the distribution of resources by commune, it was an articulated work between the municipalities, the technical unit of Senapred and the Prevention and Mitigation of Emergency Risks and Public Security Unit of the Regional Government, who raised the needs according to the prioritization of each territory. , mainly related to emergencies or disasters such as floods, channel cleaning, water scarcity, mass removal, tsunami, volcanic disasters, among others.
In this context, the commune of Paillaco will have an investment of up to $100 million; Río Bueno $103 million; Valdivia $184 million; Los Lagos $152 million; Corral $116 million; Futrono $121 million; Lago Ranco $109 million; The Union $138 million; Lanco $113 million; Panguipulli $155 million; Máfil $123 million and, finally, Mariquina totaled an amount of $133 million.
