The ‘La Rioja Cuida’ staff supports an indefinite strike

The staff of ‘La Rioja Cuida’ has agreed to support the company committee’s proposal to start an indefinite strike starting on May 13 in Rioja’s medical transport, “after more than a year of blockade in the negotiation of the agreement.” In the 69% of the workforce participated in the vote, with all votes in favor of the indefinite strike starting next Monday.

The company committee of the Rioja Society of Comprehensive Care SAU ‘La Rioja Cuida’ warns of the “total abandonment suffered by medical transport in La Rioja, so the only solution that the staff has been forced to take is a general strike in medical transport. As they warn, the Government of La Rioja and the Minister of Finance and Public Governance “there is still time to avoid a strike that will affect the most vulnerable Rioja residents, and we urge the regional Executive to speed up all the deadlines to reach a agreement”.

The committee also regrets “the inconvenience that we may cause to citizens,” and emphasizes that “the workers want to reach a beneficial agreement in order to provide a quality service.”
