The Automotive Tram Union (UTA) of Mar del Plata announced this Tuesday that will adhere to the national strike called by the labor confederations for Thursday, so buses will not circulate in the city.
At the national level, the UTA had already decided to join the strike, but the definition of the local section remained, which does not respond politically to the national leadership.
“We continue with the fight plan in defense of labor rights and against labor reform. That’s why, “We join the national strike called by the three union centers to say no to the adjustment of the national government,” The union led by Maximiliano Escriba said this afternoon in a statement.
“We also emphasize the economic problems that workers are going through. It is increasingly difficult to make ends meet and provide daily food for our families. “We are not going to allow a reform that takes away rights, hands over public companies, makes workers precarious and that attempts to give away national sovereignty,” he added in reference to the Base Law.
