On Monday afternoon, The Municipality of Santiago reported on the discovery of a clandestine shelter in the basement of Arturo Prat Street in the commune of Santiago. This underground space was being inhabited by homeless people.
The images show that The lid of the underground chamber was hidden under boards and blankets, making it appear that someone resided there, in an attempt to hide that he lived in said place.
By removing the facade, They managed to access the lid, revealing a staircase that led inside the place. In the images you can see a person and a considerable accumulation of garbage.
Given the complaints from residents of the area in Santiago, the municipal Security and Cleaning team carried out the operation to remove objects and belongings from the place.
