In a new joint meeting, the government offered teaching unions a 5 percent salary increase for April (of which 3 percent have already been liquidated), 6 percent for May and 7 percent for June.

In addition, it was proposed that once the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the month of June is known, a joint hearing date be set in order to agree on the form and terms in which the teaching salary will be updated and close the first semester of 2024. .

The third point proposed by the government is associated with the calculation basis for teacher salaries. For the settlement of assets, the proposal is in July, taking the month of June as a base.

In relation to this last item, we continue to focus on strengthening the basis for calculating teacher salaries, as has been carried out since the current provincial administration began.

The meeting was chaired by the director of Labor, Juan Pablo Irurueta. The president of the CGE Alicia Fregonese participated for the government.

The general secretary of the Entre Ríos Teachers’ Union Association (Agmer), Marcelo Pagani, participated on behalf of the workers; the deputy secretary of the Association of Technical Teaching Teachers (AMET), Carlos José Varela; the general secretary of the Argentine Union of Private Teachers (Sadop), Alejandra Frank, and the deputy secretary of the Union of Argentine Teachers (UDA) Entre Ríos, César Schlotthauer.
