While he was preparing to board his vehicle, a citizen was shot on a public road in the Arco Iris neighborhood, in the south of the city of Armenia.

Although the victim was quickly helped and taken to the emergency area of ​​the South Hospital, there, unfortunately, the doctors could not do anything to save his life and a few minutes after his admission, death was reported.

The man was identified as Juan Manuel Lloreda Bonilla, 43 years old, who came from Valle del Cauca.

According to what was known, the hitman attack was perpetrated by a subject who was traveling as a grillman on a motorcycle, a vehicle that approached the window of the chair where this person was sitting, so that he was without saying a word or giving him time to do anything. would shoot repeatedly.

The incident of blood was reported to the National Police in Quindío last Monday at around 8:30 p.m.

According to the authorities’ report, Lloreda Bonilla was shot at least seven times in different parts of his body, when he was a few meters from his residence.

Lieutenant Colonel Luis Fernando Atuesta Zárate, commander of the Police in the department, pointed out that it is not ruled out that this death is related to a settling of scores.

The officer indicated that the victim had come to settle in the Quindian capital only between 8 and 9 months ago, so it is possible that his death was related to some problem in another region of the country.

It was learned that Juan Manuel was dedicated to the purchase and sale of automobiles, mainly motorcycles.

The scene of the incident was duly cordoned off by the quadrant police who went to the point as soon as they were alerted by the community, in order to protect possible evidence and immediately deployed operations to surrounding areas in an attempt to locate the murderers, but until At this time no arrests have been reported for this incident.

Subsequently, agents from the mobile laboratory of the Criminal Investigation Section, Sijín, visited the situation to collect the necessary evidentiary material and then moved to the aforementioned care center to carry out the technical inspection of the corpse and thus transfer it to the morgue of the municipality of Calarcá.

There yesterday, Tuesday morning, officials from the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences performed the corresponding autopsy while waiting for the family members to carry out the proper claim procedures and thus be able to bury him.

With this case the number of homicides in Quindío so far this year amounts to 59, of which 34 have occurred in the capital of Quindío.
