For two weeks now, a mass neutering campaign for pets has been carried out in High Feeder with great demand from local residents. So far these days, more than 300 animals, including dogs and cats, have been neutered.

Cristian Burgos is one of those in charge of the operation that is being carried out at the Cultural Center in the Tupac Amaru neighborhood, the place where the mass castration campaign is being carried out, and in dialogue with our media he said that This move exceeded his expectations.

“We are happy because we were able to achieve joint work with the Zoonoses Directorate so that all families come to have their pets neutered,” said the manager.

They plan a second massive day of castration

There is such a demand that they are planning to carry out a second massive campaign so that those who could not come these days can do so. “Families who come with their pets ask us if we were planning to do another day similar to this one”said Cristian Burgos.

Those who were going during these days did so with a prior appointment so they were attended to at that time.

However, the interviewee regretted the number of dogs and cats that are abandoned on the streets. “There are many stray dogs in Alto Comedero, many pregnant and abandoned dogs, so today we need to continue implementing castration in these massive areas of the city.”
