The “Not Nini Cup” invites secondary school students to participate in this fun competition. It is free and does not require any prior knowledge.

Is it possible to learn programming by playing? The developers of the Tucumán platform Not Nini turned that question into the main premise of their venture. Through playful and interactive challenges, it offers high school students the opportunity to learn the basic concepts of coding. With the aim of expanding the project, the local start-up launched an interschool programming competition this week and invited Tucumán schools to join the contest along with other establishments in Latin America.

The “Not Nini Cup” will take place in Argentina, Chile and Mexico between June 3 and 14. To participate, you must be a regular student and be in your last year of high school (or the last year in which Computer Science or IT classes are available). The tournament has a virtual format, registration is completely free and no prior knowledge is required.

“We are excited to introduce this new system that will allow college students to participate in programming tournaments that we will organize each semester. Our main objective is for students from secondary level institutions to have the experience of participating in a programming competition and thus be able to discover emerging talent in Latin America,” he explained. Marco Canevarofounder and CEO of Not Nini, in a Linkedin post.

As detailed on the official website of the Not Nini Cup, the tournament will last two weeks, there will be prizes provided by the sponsoring companies and will provide a certification for all participating schools. To register, the endorsement of a person in charge of the educational institution (director or teacher) is required. Registration is open until May 20 and you can access the registration form at this link.
