The capture of the alleged thieves of a public service bus in Santa Marta drew attention to one detail: one of those identified began to cry in the middle of one of the Police procedures, because this would be his first theft.

The Santa Marta Police reported that the capture was achieved thanks to the call of citizens who reported the theft “of which they had been victims while they were traveling on a public service bus that covered the Santa Marta-Barranquilla route, the padlock plan was activated in “the entire jurisdiction of the city of Santa Marta.”

According to what was reported by the victims of the robbery, the criminals got on the bus and intimidated them with a firearm, then they got out of the vehicle and fled. During the capture, a revolver-type firearm was seized from the men, as well as the belongings they stole from the bus.

When the alleged criminals were presented by the authorities, the captured person began to cry while the rest of his accomplices looked at the ground. According to some local media that reported the incident, this would be the man’s first criminal act.

“With this capture we give peace of mind to visitors and travelers to the city. The Santa Marta Metropolitan Police continues to work hard to guarantee security and citizen coexistence,” said the Santa Marta Police.

The individuals were placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office to be prosecuted.

At the beginning of April a similar event occurred in Bogotá. The community joined together with security guards in the area, in the town of Engativá, to capture four thieves who held a family in their home, in order to steal their valuable belongings and flee in the police truck. family.

After the incident, the men were arrested. When the police arrived, the thief tearfully begged the people, who were visibly angry, not to continue hitting him.
