In reference to the export of raw materials, Jaldo said that there are some export contracts made: “There are companies that already have contracts to export sugar and others are going to do so. Each mill will contribute an export quota because it is a very good year in terms of raw materials in quantity and quality.”

For his part, Martín Luque, president of Ingenio Concepción, thanked the governor for his presence: “It is encouraging to see the commitment and support of the Provincial Government towards the industrial and productive sector of Tucumán.”

And he added: “Industrialists and sugarcane growers are working together with the Government to maximize the production and export of high quality products.”

The representative of Ingenio Concepción stated that “this year presents challenges, but with hard work and cooperation, any obstacle can be overcome.”

“Concrete measures have been established to increase exports and production of alcohol, which promises benefits for both the province and industrialists and workers. It is crucial to comply with the agreements and plans established in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy to guarantee a successful year for Tucumán,” Luque reported.

In addition, he stated that “work is being done to avoid an oversupply in the domestic market, which could negatively affect the industry.” And he added that “Ingenio Concepción, one of the main players in Tucumán production, is projecting a solid participation this year, which represents a significant increase compared to last year.”

“With an estimated increase of 20 to 30% in provincial production in general, a promising future is seen for the industry and economy of Tucumán,” he admitted.

Finally, the mayor of Banda del Rio Salí said that “it is crucial that, in these times of economic challenges, the public sector remains committed and in tune with the private sector. This is the vision shared by both the Governor, Osvaldo Jaldo, and the industrial sector linked to the sugar industry of Tucumán.”

“Hard work has been done to ensure that the start of the harvest in the different mills is carried out without setbacks. In this sense, the municipality of Banda Río Salí has ​​provided constant support to the sugar industry,” Monteros mentioned.
