Under the motto “Discovering Tierra del Fuego”, the Municipality of Tolhuin launched an Active Social Tourism program aimed at young people in their final years of high school.
This initiative, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Production and the Youth Directorate, has as its main objective to promote access to tourist and recreational experiences, providing participants with the opportunity to discover the most representative icons and points of tourist interest in our province.
During these outdoor outings, the young people had the opportunity to visit the Tierra del Fuego National Park, exploring its trails and learning about its flora and fauna. In addition, they went to the cinema to see the movie “Kung Fu Panda 3” at the Ushuaia shopping center.
These outings also included moments of camaraderie and fun. The young people shared lunches and played different games, strengthening bonds and creating unforgettable memories in the company of their peers.
The Active Social Tourism Program is an example of the commitment of the Municipality of Tolhuin to the well-being and integration of young people in the community. Through these experiences we seek not only to foster belonging for our land, but also to promote values such as camaraderie, curiosity and respect for the environment.
This initiative is the beginning of a series of activities planned to offer the youth of Tolhuin the opportunity to explore and enjoy the entire province of Tierra del Fuego.
