– Mechanics: the Union of Mechanics and Related Automotive Transport Workers (Smata) confirmed the strike in Tucumán companies, such as Scania, according to its owner Luis Diarte.

-Banks: the Banking Association announced that it will be present at the general strike. Therefore, customer service at financial institutions will not be enabled this Thursday.

-Commerce employees: “The Federation gave us the order and we are going to comply with the general stoppage of activities. “What the President wants to do is an aberration, since it harms future retirees and workers. The adjustment variable always passes through the workers, but we are not going to allow it,” said the union member with reference to the labor reform and other measures of the national government.

“Normally, there is pressure on workers. We will go out to talk to the businesses,” he added regarding the owners’ decision to open during the strike day.

-Gastronomic: Enrique Altier, general secretary of the section of the Union of Tourism, Hotel and Gastronomic Workers (Uthgra), indicated that there were conversations with businessmen in the sector, taking into account that it is a complex activity and that it is experiencing a drop in demand. “If there is no transportation, it will surely be difficult to get to work,” emphasized the union member, who ratified the sector’s support.
