The Attorney General’s Office confirmed on the afternoon of this Wednesday, May 8, that he summoned the former mayor Claudia López for the alleged illegal financing of the campaign of the Senator Angélica Lozano.
This procedure will be carried out in the midst of the investigation that is being carried out, due to the alleged irregularities that would have occurred. with his wife’s campaign to Congress of the Republic.
The interrogation will take place on May 16.
According to what was known, the former mayor will attend in condition of indictment for the procedure that will be carried out at 8:30 in the morning on Thursday, May 16.

This investigation arose as a result of information that was received by the Attorney General’s Office and which indicated that there had been illicit payments and commissions during the contracting process on the first line of the Bogotá Metro.
It is noted that the resources would have been used to finance the Senate campaign of Angélica Lozano, wife of the former mayor.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the resources allocated to Lozano’s campaign would be 12,000 million pesos.
The objective of the diligence that will be carried out before the 12th prosecutor delegated to the Supreme Court of Justice, is to listen to the former mayor regarding the progress in the investigation, for alleged illegal financing of Lozano’s campaign and for the alleged use of resources of the Metro for the same.
