A man seriously stabs his partner in Córdoba and then takes his own life

A woman has been seriously injured after being stabbed this Wednesday in the streets of Córdoba by her partner, who later committed suicide. This was confirmed by sources from the 112 Andalucía emergency service, a service dependent on the Board, who stated that the The life of this new victim of an attack of gender violence is not in danger, although she is hospitalized.

The same sources indicate that the National Police has found in the area of ​​Brillante Avenue in Córdoba the body of the alleged perpetrator of the attack, a man who also died from stab wounds and who took his own life after attacking who was apparently his romantic partner, according to Europa Press.

The event occurred around 6:40 p.m., when the aforementioned emergency service received a series of calls alerting that there was a woman injured by a stabbing. The victim was lying on the street, specifically on a dirt road located between the aforementioned avenue and a supermarket.

Urgently attended to

The health services of 061 and agents of the National Police have traveled to the scene of the events, notified by 112. The woman was immediately transferred to the Reina Sofía Hospital in the capital of Córdoba with stab wounds, although at first she seemed out of danger.

Near the scene of the events, although in a private home, police officers found the body of a man shortly after, also with stab wounds. In the absence of official confirmation, several media outlets indicate that it would be the aggressor of the woman who appeared on the ground, a point that was later confirmed by the Police.

The man would have injured himself to death with the same knife with which he injured the woman. Hence, the attack is already being investigated as an alleged case of gender violence.
