The Attorney General’s Office managed to get judges with a guarantee control function to impose security measures in prison establishments against two alleged perpetrators of sexual crimes in Yopal (Casanare).
In the first case, a man was prosecuted for allegedly kissing, groping and hitting his former romantic partner on a public road in Yopal on May 1. The injuries caused to the woman caused her to be disabled for 10 days. This individual was facing two investigations for domestic violence in 2022 and 2023, and the victim had a protection measure against him. The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with the crime of violent sexual act, which he did not accept.
On the other hand, on January 29 of this year, Leo Hernán Rincón allegedly showed his private parts to a group of children who were playing in the street in the Villa Flor neighborhood. The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with the crime of sexual act with a minor under 14 years of age, which was not investigated.
In both cases, prosecutors from the Center for Comprehensive Care for Victims of Sexual Assault (Caivas) of Yopal carried out the investigations and the respective prosecutions.
