The Civil Guard investigates at least two minors for spreading the image manipulated with Artificial Intelligence of another minor. According to what El Día de La Rioja published this Thursday, the manipulated photograph of the minor exhibited a falsified naked body. The investigation, of which hardly any details have emerged due to minors being involved, remains under summary secrecy.
The events date back to a few days ago in a town in the area of influence of the capital of Rioja (the exact location is omitted to preserve the identity of the victim). According to information from El Día de La Rioja, the alleged perpetrators, it is not ruled out that there are more than two, obtained a photograph of the victim, of a similar age to that of those investigated, through publications made by herself on a network social. Subsequently, and thanks to an AI application, they managed to manipulate the photograph with the aim of obtaining a false portrait of the minor’s naked body. Next, according to the sources cited by the media, the alleged authors spread the manipulated image on social networks and instant messaging.
In any case, these are facts that could constitute the crimes of child pornography in addition to another crime against moral integrity, among others, as detailed by the legal services consulted by El Día de La Rioja in connection with the investigation opened by the Civil Guard.
