The Comic Theater of Córdoba is filled with light, movement and color with the exhibition proposal of the Pegamento Group

CÓRDOBA, May 9. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Principal Comic Theater of Córdoba, dependent on the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Government of Andalusia, opens this Thursday, starting at 8:00 p.m., a new exhibition by the Andalusian artistic group Pegamento, under the title of ‘ Light, form and movement’ and made up of 45 pieces, between paintings and sculptures, by the three creators who make up this collective born in 2013: the painter and sculptor from Córdoba Rafael Cerdá, the Sevillian sculptor Antonio Polo and the Extremaduran painter based in Andalusia Joaquín González Quino.

The territorial delegate of Culture of the Government of Andalusia in Córdoba, Eduardo Lucena, has reported, together with the artists, on the opening to the public of the exhibition, which he has said “expands the diversity of pictorial and sculptural proposals that it offers.” the Comic Theater, and allows us to get to know up close the work of this group of creators, who have already exhibited in various places in Spain and Portugal in recent years”.

Lucena has also highlighted the spectacular nature of the exhibition, due to its large abstract formats, and has also highlighted the contrast it represents with the latest exhibition proposals of the Comic, remembering that, among the objectives of the Comic, is to disseminate the work of the creators Cordoba, but also make room for other Andalusian proposals, “as it is a cultural center that spreads the culture of our autonomous community and because of the large number of current artists that we have and who are one of our hallmarks.”

The exhibition ‘Light, form and movement’ will be open until June 30, and is complemented by a catalog edited for the occasion by the Board itself, which includes a detailed artistic study of the three authors of the group, signed by the Professor of Art History at the University of Seville Andrés Teruel.

The specialist has highlighted that Quino, Polo and Cerdá are “three very different artists”, but whose works dialogue in this exhibition. Teruel emphasizes about Quino that “he is an imaginative painter like few others”, and about Polo that “he is a sculptor who expresses himself with wrought iron and who offers advanced synthetic processes.” De Cerda recalled, finally, that he is a painter and sculptor who “has matured his own system of relationships, a personal language.”

The visitor will be able to enjoy the exhibition on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and on Thursdays and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Admission is free and open until capacity is reached.
