In the Missionary Capital, a 42-year-old man was arrested this Wednesday, with an arrest warrant from the Monte Caseros Investigative and Correctional Court, accused of sexual abuse of a minor.
He was wanted since April 18, 2022, for a case of abuse of a girl for three years, since the victim was 8, whom, according to the file, he subjected her sexually under threats and also drugged her.
The procedure was carried out by members of the Argentine Naval Prefecture, within the framework of an investigation by the Unified Command for the Recapture of Escapees, dependent on the Ministry of National Security. They knew that the individual could be in Misiones, more precisely between the localities from Campo Viera and Posadas.
After several hours of covert surveillance, they captured him in the vicinity of Cabo de Hornos Avenue and 57th Street in the city of Posadas.
The fugitive was placed at the disposal of the Investigative and Correctional Court of Monte Caseros, Corrientes.
As they also described, the current father-in-law of the victim’s mother would also have been accused of the serious incident, in a process that is being carried out by magistrates of the city of Paso de los Libres.
