The Rincón del Obispo school together with the Portaje school and a Portuguese school have held a school coexistence this week. It has been a cultural exchange between two public schools in Extremadura and the Agrupamento de Escolas Ribeiro Sanches de Penamacor, Portugal. …
On April 23, they crossed borders to meet their friends in Penamacor. It was a day full of discovery, where they shared laughter, learning, and mutual growth while exploring their school and charming town.
But the adventure was far from over. Last May 7, it was the turn of his Portuguese friends to visit Portaje. And what an unforgettable day they have spent together! From immersing yourself in an exciting Portuguese escape room, to wandering the picturesque streets of Portaje and reliving your own traditions in a recreation of the Portaje horse races and the San Juanes de Coria. In addition, they tasted a delicious paella.
From the center of Rincón del Obispo, they wanted to express their gratitude to the Portaje City Council, to the incredible neighbors who opened their doors with generosity, to the Coria City Council and its tourist office, to the Cáceres Provincial Council and to the Center for Teachers and Coria Resources for their invaluable support and collaboration in the organization of this very special trip.
This cultural exchange not only allowed them to immerse themselves in a new culture and strengthen bonds of friendship, but it also reminded them of the beauty and richness found in diversity. Through the exchange of experiences and knowledge, they have enriched their lives and cultivated a deeper and more respectful understanding of the world around them.
