Huila students will be able to strengthen their digital skills

The initiative in conjunction with the Ministry of ICT, the Sena and the ILO, the Senatec program has begun to operate in the educational institutions of Huila. Its objective is to close the training gap and promote digital skills in young people and adults, preparing them for the world of work.

The implementation of the program in Huila began after a call made to 176 educational institutions and 50 private establishments. So far, 14 educational institutions in the department have been articulated, with 502 registrations in Sofia Plus, and 9 of them have already started their training.

According to Martha Patricia Obregón, head of educational quality, this modality of articulation strengthens the process underway in the Sena, with more than 3,000 students linked in 162 programs in 33 municipalities of the territory in the year 2024.

The Senatec program, focused on the development of digital skills for secondary education students, seeks to strengthen job opportunities and relevant skills according to the vocation of the territory. Additionally, it transforms 10th and 11th grade students into competitive citizens in today’s digital world, through specialized learning platforms.

The technical educational offer of the Senatec program in Huila includes programs such as Programming Technician for Data Analytics, Application Programming Technician and Cloud Services, Application Programming Technician for Mobile Devices, among others. These programs are designed to meet the demands of today’s job market and prepare students for the challenges of the digital world.
