The decision of the Constitutional Court to overthrow the Ministry of Equality created by President Gustavo Petro and his vice president, Francia Márquez, continues to awaken conflicting positions among congressmen and political leaders of the country.
Such was the case of Luis Ernesto Gómez, who became the right-hand man of the former mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, and served as Secretary of Government during the last administration. Through his platform X account, the politician blamed Márquez for the high court’s decision to end the Equality portfolio.

“Colombia was ready for you Francia Márquez. You were not ready for Colombia”, indicated the Blu Radio commentators. In addition, he blamed the minister for the fact that the country’s black communities have lost their representation, despite the trust she generated during the campaign for minorities.
“The most important representation and the largest budget that black communities have ever had disappear due to procedural defects and negligent execution”he continued.
Finally, Gómez reflected on the decisions that the Executive has made and that have not been able to prosper due to lack of planning and execution, such as the emergency decree to address La Guajira or the reforms that remain stuck in Congress.
“This is a sad symbol of the opportunities wasted by this Government”, concluded Claudia López’s close friend.
His words against the vice president did not sit well with the director of the Department for Social Prosperity (DPS), Gustavo Bolívar, who accused him of being happy that the country loses, according to him, one of the portfolios designed by the Petro Government to end the inequality gap.
“It brings happiness, ridicule and pleasure to those who live comfortably in their luxurious homes, ending a ministry called to reduce gaps in extreme poverty and inequality. You have a bad conscience Luis“, criticized Bolívar.
However, the former Secretary of Government assured that it was not about celebrating the decision of the Constitutional Court. On the contrary, it was a message of reproach for not achieving the change that the Government promised when it was campaigning.in addition to taunting the DPS director for his luxurious properties.

The exchange of messages increased in tone at the moment that Gustavo Bolívar went all out against the former mayor López, who was called by the Attorney General’s Office in the last hours to respond for irregularities in the Bogotá Metro project, in addition to possible illegal financing of the campaign of his wife, Angélica Lozano.
“But they will never charge her with corruption like her boss.“, assured the director of the DPS, which unleashed the discomfort of Gómez, who reminded him of the most recent scandal over the purchase of tank trucks for La Guajira by the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (Ungrd), which splashed officials of the high government of Petro.
