According to the Army, this subject has a criminal history of more than 11 years committing crimes in the communities of Bahía Solano, Nuquí and Bajo Baudó. He was in charge of controlling drug trafficking routes on the Pacific coast of Chocó.

It was determined that Firulais was the financial ringleader and also responsible for the harassment of the Puerto Meluk Police, Chocó, on May 7, 2022; of the forced displacement of more than 300 people in the Peña Azul community, confining the communities to the head of the municipality of Alto Baudó.
