The Department of Atlántico is preparing for an economic boost with the entry into operation of a Bavarian brewery.

According to Sergio Rincón, president of Bavaria, this expansion is “a testament to our conviction in the potential of the region and its people”, highlighting the company’s commitment to local job creation and the progress of communities.

The new brewery in Palmar de Varela will represent a milestone in the history of Bavaria, with an investment of 430 million dollars and a production capacity that includes the brands most loved by Colombians, such as Águila, Poker and Club Colombia.

In addition, the plant will have export capacity to other countries in the region, taking advantage of the logistics infrastructure of Barranquilla and the Magdalena River.

During the construction stage, sIt is estimated that around 2,000 jobs will be generated, while once operational, the plant will employ approximately 800 people, including direct and indirect jobs.
