Within the framework of the agrarian reform program, promoted by the national Government, the National Land Agency delivered 163 property titles to peasant families in several municipalities in the south of the Huila

Andrea Silva, director of social planning management at the National Land Agency, He pointed out that from now on, the families who are creditors of these properties will be able to receive benefits from the State such as bank loans, housing subsidies, among others.

“The objective of this visit we made to Pitalito, Huila, was to deliver 163 rural properties with their respective legal titles to the same number of peasant families in the south of Huila, the national government “It is committed to complying with the peace agreement with point one of formalizing and titling the lands to rural communities throughout the country,” said Andrea Silva, director of planning management at the ANT.

For his part, Lester Garrido, coordinator of the Huila regional National Land Agency, said that more than 500 property titles have been delivered in several municipalities of the department and It is expected that by the month of July of this year, other rural properties will be delivered in the municipalities of Neiva, Tesalia, Paicol and La Plata.

“The agrarian reform is advancing and the south of Huila is beginning to see the benefits through legalization of land to peasant families who now own the land where they live and produce their livelihood,” the official emphasized.

Andrea Silva, director of planning management at the ANT, finally said that, Through the agrarian reform program, around 6,000 hectares of land have been delivered in ten municipalities of the country.
