A guarantee control judge imposed a restraining order against a man allegedly responsible for attacking his 39-year-old former partner. The events occurred in Ibagué in March 2023. On that occasion the alleged aggressor tied up the woman and tried to suffocate her.

During the process, it was also learned that he forced her to have sexual relations by threatening to harm her family.

The cohabitation relationship continued for approximately six months, but the man’s aggression and jealousy caused the woman to ask him to leave the house. From that moment on, violence against her would increase.

Members of the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI), with the support of the Police and the National Army, issued the arrest warrant against him on a public street in the Modelia II neighborhood of Ibagué. A specialized prosecutor from Tolima charged him with the crimes of torture and violent carnal access, which were not accepted.

The defendant has several convictions for drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms. In addition to judicial notes for damage to other people’s property, domestic violence and personal injuries.
