The agricultural sector is celebrating. This May 15, the Association of Oilseed and Wheat Producers (Anapo) celebrates its 50 years of creation. The institution brings together more than 14,000 producers from the entire department of Santa Cruz whom it supports with different services and advice. In addition, to ensure the interests of all its members.

The organization was founded on May 15, 1974. It was born with the mission of representing, defending, advising and assisting its associates, both at a technical and legal level, on their agricultural activities.

Over the course of five decades, the institution diversified its services, in order to meet the needs and expectations of its associates in areas such as access to markets, payment of taxes, fuel supply, legal security, improvement of roads, technology transfer, among others.

Celebration

The president of Anapo, Fernando Romero, valued the effort made by the members who turned this organization into one of the most influential agricultural associations in the country.

He recalled that visionaries such as Carlos González Lack and Vicente Roca Gil “They sowed the seed of the institution, in search of prosperity for Bolivian farmers.”

Within the framework of the celebrations, the presentation of a book that includes the history of this institution is planned, such as when it established itself as the pioneer in promoting the export of soybeans to Brazil, opening international markets for oilseed exports in forward. Milestone recorded in 1986.

Likewise, the presentation of an audiovisual documentary about the institution is also planned, which includes the impression of former leader and agricultural producers of Santa Cruz affiliated with the institution.
