Grupo San José obtained a net profit of 10.3 million euros in the first three months of 2024, which represents an increase of 28.9% compared to the nearly 8 million it earned in the same period of the previous year, according to has informed the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

The construction company has boosted its results after earning 360 million euros in this period, 22.2% more than a year ago, and increasing its gross operating result (Ebitda) by another 18.3%, reaching 19.8 million of euros, with a profitability margin of 5.5%.

By business, construction concentrated 91.3% of the activity, around 329 million euros, followed by Concessions and Services, with another 5.1% and 18.4 million euros. The real estate and energy segments accounted for 0.6% and 0.7% of the business, respectively.

Its construction division was the one that contributed to the improvement in the evolution of activity, growing 28% compared to a year ago, offsetting the fall of 66% in real estate, 44% in energy and 4.6% in concessions.

The turnover obtained in international markets amounted to 55.2 million euros and represents 15% of the group’s total income, with a drop of 12%, compared to the 32% growth of the national business.

The contracted portfolio as of March 31, 2024 amounted to 2,666 million euros, with construction – its main activity – being 2,109 million euros, remaining stable compared to that recorded last December.

The net treasury position of Grupo San José at the end of the first quarter of fiscal year 2024 stood at a positive cash position of 310.6 million euros, 5% higher than that at the end of fiscal year 2023.
