The General Council of Education (CGE) carries out the teacher training project “The Cooperative and Mutual School for the Labor Inclusion of Young People with Disabilities”, an initiative organized by the Directorate of Special Education in collaboration with the Foundation for the Promotion, Education and Cooperative and Mutual Training “Cooperative Faith”.

The project seeks to promote the labor and social inclusion of young people with disabilities, and is aimed at more than 80 people belonging to the management teams, teachers and educational guidance teams (EOE) of the special education modality of the departments of Concordia, San Salvador and Federation. These three departments will complete the training that began in 2023, thus covering all of the province’s departments.

“Our ultimate objective is to invite and achieve the implementation of a line of work that addresses the principles and values of school cooperatives as a form of healthy coexistence and dynamization of different institutional initiatives; also involving the participation of parents for the future projection of work cooperatives,” emphasized the director of Special Education at the CGE, Alexia Mors.

The training will consist of three virtual meetings and one in-person, culminating on June 14. “We are very happy about the call and the enthusiasm of the participants, who demonstrate the commitment and desire to continue creating proposals for our educational institutions,” concluded Mors.
