Collective Consciousness Water, the initiative to address the water crisis in SLP

Given the drought that is currently plaguing the state of San Luis Potosí, a team of academics from the Colegio de San Luis (Colsan) in collaboration with the Cummins company and the Potosino Council of Science and Technology (COPOCYT) came together to create the project Water Collective Consciousnesswhich has the objective of creating strategies for the care and distribution of water in a community-based manner.

As stated on its website, the objective is to “build an interdisciplinary work agenda with different actors in society so that they contribute to the generation of ideas and actions around the water problem. As a result of this exchange of ideas, proposals and experiences, a portfolio of projects that address water problems will be created.”

The call has been extended to different sectors of society, including the academic sector, private initiative, government organizations and civil society, as each of them would contribute different perspectives, needs and ideas.

During the morning of this Thursday, May 23, the first work meeting began, where agents from the academic sector who were experts in water issues and the problems surrounding it were summoned.

If you are interested in participating, you should know when the next meetings are and in which sector of society you have to participate. On July 11, the private initiative will be summoned; on September 12, to government organizations and, finally, on November 7, to people from civil society.

To participate, you must register a few days or weeks before the meeting. To do this, you must pay attention to the announcements that are made in the following link: https://www.aguaconsciencia.com/#Reuniones
