The activities that began on Sunday, with a solemn Catholic homily in the Church of the La Bendiciones human settlement, are led by different humanitarian organizations that demand the attention of State agencies, so that attention is paid to the almost two thousand families, who in Casanare, search for their missing relatives, in addition to the search work, is a call to Casanarean society and that of the entire country, to raise awareness and reject this scourge.

This commemoration is the result of the persistence and impact of civil society organizations and that of family members, to combat the silence and historical denialism in the face of atrocious violations of human rights, which take the form of the disappearance of people. , in the context of illegal detentions.

The Regional and international Week of the Detained and Disappeared, drew the attention of regional government entities that began this Monday with a live ceremony from the governor’s office, where society is urged to reflect deeply on the impact and devastating consequences that this crime has. not only for the victims, but also for their families.

On Tuesday, May 29, a tree planting day is planned, called “The Search Florece Environment Route” where the participation of the families of the disappeared and those who are held in the prison center is expected. serving sentences, for their role in the era of insane violence.

On May 29, basic and secondary education students from more than 3,000 educational institutions, especially from the Technical Business Institution, Itey, will generate spaces for reflection and empathy in the face of the phenomenon of the disappearance of people.
