Camagüey, June 1.- The subsidiary of the José Martí Cultural Society in Camagüey organized a provincial event at the House of Memory as a prelude to the sixth International Conference for the Balance of the World, which will take place in Havana in January 2025.

Among the topics addressed in the presentations, cultural decolonization stood out, the relevance of strengthening culture, symbols and national identity in the face of global cultural hegemony.

The importance of national and regional unity was also emphasized, as well as the ideal of Latin Americanism.

Additional aspects related to the environment, sustainable development, and the construction of socialism in society, the role of leaders and officials in promoting history, as well as the connections in the legal legacy between José Martí and Fidel Castro were discussed. .

In addition, debates were generated about commitment to ideology and ideological training in all current generations.

Analysis, pedagogical experiences and research on a variety of topics that contribute to the aspiration of multiporality and global balance brought together teachers, historians and intellectuals.

These meetings serve as a prelude to the selection of the works that will represent Cuba at the renowned conference.

The sixth edition of For the Balance of the World will feature the participation of speakers of various nationalities from January 28 to 31 of next year with the aim of reconsidering the current context in search of peace and social justice worldwide.
