The Minister of Public Health of the Province reported this Saturday that the Dr. Miguel Sussini hospital in Virasoro carried out a bacteriological analysis for the first time.
“This test carried out in the Laboratory is essential for the diagnosis of diseases,” said Minister Ricardo Cardozo, through his social networks.
In this sense, he stressed that “this is possible thanks to the latest generation equipment that the hospital has and the professionals who work there.”
On the other hand, within the framework of the articulated work carried out by the Human Capital Directorate with the Directorate of the Interior hospitals, a visit was made a few days ago to the Virasoro hospital to coordinate the incorporation of the new residents of the health team and the upcoming rotations of Residents from different disciplines and medical specialties.
In this sense, the Directorate of Training of Health Professionals met with the director of the De Virasoro hospital, Valerio Humberto Uribe and part of the hospital staff to strengthen the Residencies that are developed in that healthcare center.
Regarding how they have been working, Valerio Humberto Uribe said: “The management is new, but we are moving forward and generating changes for the benefit of the community. There is a very effective coordination with the Ministry and the community of Virasoro notices the presence every Wednesday in the different neighborhoods of the city with the health operations that are being carried out.
On the other hand, regarding equipment, he indicated: “We are acquiring according to the needs we have” and, in that sense, he stressed that “the CT scanner was repaired and is fully operational.”
Regarding services, the director of the hospital praised the performance of “everything that is Clinical and Gynecology, where a lot was improved with the incorporation of human resources such as Obstetrics residents. In addition, doctors are being incorporated to reinforce everything which is the Emergency area and, in pediatrics, we are also incorporating professionals.
He explained that currently, the hospital cares for “approximately 200 people per day in Emergency” and added: “we are also working very well with the external clinics.”
Dengue
Finally, Uribe recalled that recently “we had difficult times due to the Dengue outbreak. We were at full capacity with the hospital due to the number of infected people, even the community mayor (Emiliano Fernández) was treated for Dengue in our hospital.”
