Lorca and García Márquez mark the beginning of the EBAU in La Rioja, with 1,536 students

The students of secondary education La Rioja and Madrid were called today to begin the entrance exams to college. In our community it seems that they have finally been 1,536 the students that have been presented in Logrono and Calahorra.

The test had the usual start with the subjects of Language and literaturebefore moving on to those of English either History. The Deputy Minister of Education, Miguel Angel Fernández, pointed out that the tests have been carried out normally at the three locations.

The students entered the classrooms starting at 9:30 a.m. to take the first test. Spanish Language and Literature II, which started at 10 am. Fernández explained that the first block of this exam contained four text commentary questions, where students were able to choose between two pieces of writing, one of David Dorenbaumabout what the way in which we we dress from the point of psychological view; and another of Andrea Köhlerabout the difference between waiting and hoping.

In the second block, students had to perform the syntactic analysis of a sentence. Likewise, they have been able to choose between a definition question and synonyms for two words from the text and another, as a novelty, in which they had to briefly explain two of the terms related to the block of knowledge “The language and its speakers” of the new current curriculum.

Finally, in the third block of Literature, students have chosen between two fragments of ‘Bernarda Alba’s house‘, of Federico García Lorca and ‘A Chronicle of a Death Foretold‘, of Gabriel Garcia Marquezto make a comment.

In addition, they have completed an exhibition of a literary topic to choose from the poetry of Blas de Otero and the theater Buero Vallejo.
