The intense snow storm that affects the interior of Neuquén forced the suspension of classes during this Monday morning in the Minas Department, in the north of the province.
The measure was taken by the authorities of School District XIV, as reported by the local media Entre Cordilleras, “because the storm generated several inconveniences.” They specified that the area, comprised of the towns of Andacollo, Huinganco, Las Ovejas and Los Miches, suffers from “lack of energy, Internet, water and the complication of transportation.”
The climatic conditions in the province are crossed by the extreme cold during this Monday, with a alert issued by the National Meteorological Service (SMN). The measure does not reach the northern sector of the province, but the intense snow storm that began at the end of last week is still present, with a significant accumulation.

He yellow alert for extreme cold was issued by the SMN for the following areas: Confluencia – East of Añelo – East of Pehuenches – Picún Leufú – Cordillera de Huiliches – Cordillera de Lácar – Sur de Aluminé – Los Lagos.
