Moscow, June 3 (EFE).- Russia announced this Monday new sanctions against British politicians and journalists, and called on London to stop military aid to Ukraine so as not to prolong the war and “avoid victims among the civilian population.”

Moscow specifies that among those sanctioned are politicians responsible for creating and implementing “London’s anti-Russian course” and journalists who use “lies and Russophobia” when reporting on Russia.

Experts who analyze “important socio-political events” in Russia from a “negative and false” point of view were also sanctioned.

“The efforts of the British to discredit and isolate Russia internationally, also during the special military operation (in Ukraine), will inevitably receive a harsh and decisive rejection from our side,” the statement added.

In this sense, Moscow asked London to “abandon its military support for Ukraine, which causes civilian casualties and only prolongs the agony of the neo-Nazi regime in kyiv.”
