The Province presented new lines of credit for tourism

The Federal Investment Council (CFI), the Public Guarantee Fund of La Rioja (FOGAPLAR) and Banco Rioja presented new lines of promotion for provincial tourism.

“It is a formidable tool in such a different national context,” is how the Minister of Tourism and Cultures, Gustavo Luna, described the Productive Development Lines presented this Monday for the tourism sector.

And he added: “we held this meeting with the private sector where we presented lines of financing for the tourism industry, which has great significance in its implementation and of great significance for those who dream of developing in the creative and tourism industries.”

The CFI proposes various lines of credit with rates subsidized by the provincial government of up to 50%, which means an annual rate of 20% only for the beneficiary. These loans have a maximum amount of up to 120 million pesos guaranteed by FOGAPLAR and Banco Rioja and are aimed, in this case, at the tourism sector.

Among the proposals is the financing line for the purchase of solar panels or irrigation systems, in the case of agrotourism, a line for entrepreneurial women and the line called “value chain” which includes accommodation, regional gastronomy, providers tourism, transportation, adventure tourism, etc.

“These credits also contemplate the construction of cabins, furniture and white goods for accommodation, movable property, among many other types of investments,” explained Ana Paula Seppi, director of Industrial Policies at the CFI.

For his part, the Secretary of Tourism José Rosa added that “it is essential to continue working in this difficult time and with so few public policies from national officials. That is why we implement tools such as Movete por La Rioja, the Observatory and the Strategic Tourism Plan and this Development Plan promoted by FOGAPLAR and CFI to continue accompanying the sector.”

Finally, Laura Sabattini, president of FOGAPLAR, invited those interested to visit her offices, located at Avenida Perón 444, and learn about the requirements to access these lines of credit. “Our task is to be able to include all sectors and especially the smallest ones that sometimes did not qualify for a loan from any bank,” she concluded.
