A 13 year old teenager died by immersion in the Magdalena riverin the jurisdiction of the municipality of La Gloria, Ceasewhen last holiday Monday afternoon I was with some friends bathing in the flow of water.

The minor was identified as Luis Miguel López Corteswho was dragged by the current of the water and did not manage to surface.
The other minors who were with him notified the authorities and his relatives, who upon arriving at the scene found the lifeless body.

López Cortés, was known by everyone in the town and was studying seventh grade of the José Mejía Uribe Educational Institution.
Local authorities have urged residents to use caution when approaching the river, especially during the rainy season when the currents can be unpredictable and with sudden floods, taking into account that throughout the department of Cesar, rains have been present in recent days.
