Due to the rains that have been occurring in Santa Marta, the Office for Risk Management and Climate Change (Ogricc) is carrying out preventive actions and inspection days in different sectors, with the aim of responding to possible events that can be presented.

According to a recent report, the Caribbean Meteorological Alerts portal (iClima), Tropical Wave 3 of the season is currently entering Colombian territory, which favored heavy rains in sectors of La Guajira, Cesar, and Magdalena, during last night, and early this Tuesday.

The director of the Ogricc, Alex Velázquez, recommends that citizens avoid exposing themselves in areas that may experience landslides and floods.

On the other hand, he reminded citizens that there are emergency lines where any incident recorded in the District can be reported. They are the following.
