Jhon Fredy Cuenca, reported missing since last Saturday, June 1, was found dead on Tuesday in a sewer in the La Manuela sector, in La Plata, Huila.
Cuenca, a native of Tesalia, Huila, had disappeared on Saturday night, which triggered an intense search by friends and family who hoped to find him safe and sound. However, his fate turned tragic.
The circumstances of his death are still unknown, although the scene in which he was found suggests that he may have suffered an accident while riding a motorcycle, which would have caused him to fall into the sewer, resulting in his death.

The authorities arrived at the scene to remove the body and continue the investigation. This case adds to a worrying series of traffic accidents in the jurisdiction of La Plata. On June 2, Hernel Bastidas died after a collision with another motorcycle, and Víctor Quiguazu lost his life in an accident near the pedestrian bridge that connects the La Pola and El Jardín neighborhoods.
The community of La Plata, dismayed, closely follows these tragic events that have claimed the lives of three people in a few days. Meanwhile, the authorities call for caution and driving while respecting all traffic rules in order to prevent more people from losing their lives, especially now that the mid-year holiday season is approaching.
