In his speech, Luis Caputo assured that the Government “is not going to disappoint” businessmen and emphasized that if the country begins to grow, taxes will be reduced. “We are very close to that and that is why I believe that the level of aggression against the Government has intensified in recent times,” he claimed.
Caputo focused his speech on the efforts of the citizens and highlighted the support of President Javier Milei, who, according to him, does not doubt the direction of the Government. «We are more motivated than ever, first by the support of people from all social strata, who constantly thank us; then, due to the personality of President Javier Milei, who allows us to take the measures that no one dared to take for decades.”he highlighted.
The minister avoided specific economic topics and preferred to highlight the economic recovery that, according to him, the country is experiencing. «We went from a deficit of five points to a surplus in one month and reached single digit monthly inflation,” he said.he stressed. “We see that the worst is over and we are in clear recovery, the speed of which depends on two factors: the approval of the Base Law and convincing citizens that the change depends more on them.”
Caputo also made reference to the Base Law, which will soon be discussed in the Senate, and stated that ““It will happen at some point, if not now it will be later, because it is very good for the Argentines.” He insisted that individual decisions, both by citizens and companies, will accelerate economic recovery.
Then, the minister launched harsh criticism against the opposition, stating that for “a good part” of these leaders “politics is not a service, it is a business, it is money in some of its forms: suitcases, positions, public works, boxes.” . According to him, the Government is changing this and, therefore, faces resistance. «People already understood this. He no longer eats glass.
