One of the biggest challenges in Atacama is to continue with the Influenza vaccination process in the target groups. Faced with this situation and with the intention of continuing to provide increasingly timely and quality care, the Atacama Health Service (SSA) implemented the home vaccination program.
“With the objective of continuing to increase Influenza coverage, we have had two clinical teams dedicated to carrying out this vaccination at home. In this way we are bringing the vaccination processes closer to seniors over 60 years of age, people with reduced mobility, girls and boys between 6 months and 10 years of age for Influenza in the commune of Copiapó” explained Bernardo Villablanca, Director of the Atacama Health Service.
People can schedule their attention through the telephone numbers +569 32350360 and +569 53702620 either by a call or by WhatsApp message, from Monday to Thursday between 09:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and on Friday from 09:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It should be noted that these numbers are only to schedule the home visit, not to request information about the vaccination process.
“Inoculation must be transversal and reach all our users, which is why these people must be calm about the protection that the vaccine will provide them and because it will reach their own homes. Without the need to travel and thus provide them with greater peace of mind. In this way we ensure that we continue to provide increasingly timely and quality care to the users of our region,” concluded the Head of the Region’s Assistance Network.
