AMPROS took over the Legislature and the treatment of the law that affects nursing graduates was postponed

As happened last Wednesday, in the presence of hundreds of health professionals concentrated at the door of the Mendoza Legislaturethe treatment of the package of laws for the sector was postponed. AMPROS once again marked its presence on a key day where the changes in the promotion of Nursing graduates were going to be debated.

This is a legislative initiative that places limits on the performance of Nursing graduates for management functions or critical areas. The proposal already has half sanction from the Senate.

If approved, this modification “would harm the province’s Nursing graduates, who trained throughout their careers so that today the governor intends to ignore all that effort made, make them precarious and provide a worse health service to the people of Mendoza,” expressed from AMPROS.

Daniel Jiménez, deputy secretary of AMPROS, delivered a petition to the legislators.

With these modifications, AMPROS analyzed, it will become more difficult to access a higher hierarchy already better paid positions, “because now it will be Human Resources that is going to decide.”

The rejection of AMPROS

The president of the Senate Health Commission, Abel Freidemberg, explained with UNO and defended the Executive’s intention to “privilege the human resources needed by the health systemabove the offer.”

Freidemberg clarified that the changes seek to ensure that nursing professionals who are in regime 15 go to regime 27, not because they obtain a degree but because a contest is opened or because they manage to integrate into teams in critical areas.

Health professionals gathered in the Legislature from 9 a.m. to prevent legislators from voting on a law that “not only does not recognize the academic training of nursing graduates, but would seriously harm care in the different healthcare centers in our province.” , they stated from the union.

The rally also served for the representatives of the Mendoza healthcare centers to make known their repudiation of the approval of laws sent by the Executive.

Part of the AMPROS Executive Commission entered the Legislature to deliver a petition with the reasons why the package of laws they intend to approve “it is unconstitutional.”

Daniel Jiménez, deputy secretary of AMPROS, assured after delivering the petition in repudiation of the package of Health laws: “We have convened because the law on nursing graduates was going to be discussed. They assure us that it has been postponed and, probably for next Wednesday. In any case, we express our rejection of the law that was going to be discussed because we consider it unconstitutional and It goes against all the training, effort and academic training that Nursing graduates have, giving the Executive Branch the power to decide who it recognizes or not. as a graduate in Nursing.”

And he added: “Today the blocks of the Justicialista Party, La Unión Mendocina and the Green Party received us, they guaranteed us their vote against the bill, but unfortunately the Executive has a majority, and they are unaware of the mandate given to them by the town”.

In relation to how the fight of Health professionals continues, Jiménez confirmed: “We are going to continue on the streets and we are going to continue before Justice, denouncing the unconstitutionality of the laws, we are also doing so before the International Labor Organization (ILO), but we will also continue to make ourselves heard in each workplace expressing the harm that this package of laws causes to the health of Mendoza residents.”
